Material Guide

and Pricing

Our stock of hardwood lumber and mouldings is sourced from throughout the Midwest. We work with mills and kiln operations that are experts in cutting and drying of high quality material. With a wide range of species, grades, and character options we can find the correct lumber for your project.

Most of our material is hit/miss planed showing the grain and color of the material clearly. Skip planning is generally 1/16” less than thickness. The example would be our 4/4 material is planned to 15/16” thick. This gives our customers the ability to mill the board down to the thickness that works for the specific need. We also stock material that is closer to finish ready that is sanded as a final stage to 13/16” thick at 120 grit sand.

Our lumber is priced by the Board Foot (BF) for random width graded material. For boards that are sized and milled to a specific dimension they are priced per Linear Foot (LF). We carry many species that are milled and ready to rip and assemble.

We are happy to assist in cutting your boards down to make transportation convenient for you. There is no additional charge for chopping boards.

If your project is in need of specific sizes, including thickness planning, please let us know and we may be able to assist you.

Looking for large quantities? We offer wholesale pricing as well. For orders of 300 BF or more we will spot quote all material that is good for 30 days. Again, a variety of milling options are available for wholesale jobs.
